Co-Founder of Which Dollar, Inc., Frank McDavid, entered his
Father's home on Sunday, August 5, 2007,
after a long and courageous
battle against colon cancer. Frank was born in Fayetteville, North
Carolina July 27, 1945. He graduated from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1968.
Frank retired from ALCAN after thirty eight years of service. He was a member of the North Carolina Meat Packers Association for thirty five years and President of the suppliers group while it was affiliated with Virginia. Frank was an avid tennis player in the local metro Richmond area in the seventies and founded FEMCO Corporation to manufacture and distribute improved tennis court equipment. FEMCO, now in its 30th year, is nationally known as a leading manufacturer in the tennis industry. He served three years as President of the Southshore Property Owners Association. Frank served as Commissioner and Chairman of the Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. He wrote the By-Laws for the Responsible Growth Alliance of Chesterfield and ?$ Which Dollar, Inc., where he also served as co-founder and advisor. Frank's latest achievement was writing and self-publishing his journey never planned in Colon: Semi-Colon with proceeds benefiting ?$ Which Dollar, Inc.
He is survived by wife, Toni, son Shayne, daughter Christy and husband John Wood, daughter Amy Ward, grandchildren Cody and Ashley Wood and Anthony Ward all of Midlothian, Virginia. Father, Big Jim of Fayetteville, Brother Jim and wife Macon of Raleigh, North Carolina.
